Natalia and Taddeo decided to have a Palm Springs elopement without ever visiting the city before! They live in Philadelphia and always loved everything they’d seen of the Mid Century Modern mecca. We originally planned their elopement for February, but they postponed until late May after we could all be fully vaccinated. The weather in May is often triple digits, and this day was no exception! These two rocked it in spite of the heat and we had such fun exploring this magical place together.
We kicked off the hot afternoon in, of course, a greenhouse! This cactus garden at Moorten Botanical Garden is too pretty to pass up, even when it’s over 100 degrees out!
After the cactus garden we went to the colorful Saguaro Hotel where Natalia and Taddeo were staying on their special adventure. They did the sweetest vow exchange in the Saguaro’s courtyard and popped some champagne to celebrate!
After their ceremony we had to shoot on the hotel’s colorful exterior!
Shindig Chic created a gorgeous jewel tone bouquet – so colorful and unique!
Those celestial earrings are such a beautiful accent!
After the Saguaro Hotel ceremony we went to a few different Mid Century Modern neighborhoods for cool architecture and colorful doors.
Cue the Ford Thunderbird! Coachella Valley Classic Cars rents this gorgeous 1962 vehicle and I’ve been lucky to shoot it a few times! Always a delight!
Palm Springs is unique (and a fave among photographers!) because the city is super close to the mountains. The sun typically dips behind the mountains about an hour prior to the written sunset time and you’re left with a beautiful diffused glow!
Curious how the street is so empty? They eloped on a Tuesday! Tuesdays and Wednesdays are always great for crowd control!
Congratulations Natalia and Taddeo!
