Haley and Brian’s Living Desert Zoo and Gardens wedding was inspired by “dusk in the desert” – soft colors with modern vintage details! Yes! They met in college when Brian leased a room in Haley’s apartment – the two of them became the best of friends, and after Brian moved out they began dating. They moved to San Diego from San Francisco and planned a classic So Cal wedding in their new home. Haley is a food stylist, chef, illustrator, and graphic designer, so it’s no surprise that their wedding was full of unique designs! Here’s a peek at what’s to come:
Let’s start from the beginning. Haley designed this entire suite with calligraphy by Letter & Ink.
We kicked off the day at Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert. This California sign was a lovely spot to hang Haley’s beautiful gown!
The hotel also had these cute blue vintage phones – the perfect prop for Haley’s heirloom blue ring!
Brian wrote Haley a sweet letter for the morning of their wedding day.
STUNNING! Haley’s gown from Lili Bridal is one of my absolute faves!
Meanwhile, in the guys’ room…!
We went over to the Living Desert for Haley and Brian’s first look. Since the zoo is open until 5pm this palm garden was the perfect quiet spot to avoid any other people!
I loved Haley’s bridesmaids in mismatched blush and mauve dresses! So pretty!
Haley and Brian planned their ceremony at sunset in keeping with Jewish tradition, so we did all of their wedding portraits prior to the ceremony. The Living Desert has so many beautiful backdrops on their grounds!
The Ketubah signing took place right before the ceremony.
Haley and Brian had a unique ceremony that was a fusion of Jewish and Christian traditions.
Since it was entirely dark by the time the cocktail hour began, we had to build the reception detail photography into the pre-ceremony timeline to get it in natural light. Haley designed this beautiful acrylic seating chart to match her invitation suite:
The palm garden at the Living Desert is such a gorgeous place for a wedding reception! The desert and dusk color palette come to life!
Now that’s an entrance!!
Congratulations Haley and Brian!!
