Julia and Jackson’s tropical wedding at Valentine in Downtown Los Angeles was a colorful feast for the eyes! Julia is a designer who created all of the signage, paper goods, and even custom drink stirrers herself. J&J first crossed paths back in high school and dated for over a decade – so and after one pandemic-related postponement, everyone was more than ready to celebrate their gorgeous day! This fun wedding was featured here on Rock & Roll Bride.
Julia is an incredibly talented graphic designer! You can see her work here.
Getting Julia’s “Orion” gown from Willowby by Watters up at the top of this mural was no easy feat – but it certainly was a fun challenge for me!
Even the postponement post card was in keeping with the colorful aesthetic and Julia’s vintage-inspired style.
This colorful tinsel jacket by Rachel Burke makes for a fun accessory!
Blue chunky metallic boots for bridal shoes? Yes please!
The guys got ready across the street from Valentine at Marvimon’s property, Flora Chang.
Jackson looks so dapper in his floral tie. The Nintendo pin is a fun touch!
Time for the first look!
Wedding planner Holly Gray surprised J&J with these giant balloons!
Valentine is all in one central space, so I always recommend we do most of the portraits inside the space prior to guest arrival. This mural photo opp is a must!
Winston & Main created a colorful tropical disco ball installation for the ceremony backdrop. Stunning!
The greenhouse ceremony space at Valentine DTLA is one of a kind!
Yay! They are finally married!!
We popped outside for a few last portraits!
Cocktail hour! Valentine’s volcano bar is a work of art.
Close up on those custom drink stirrers that say J&J’s sweet catch phrase “Love you like crazy.”
J&J love to take analog photo booth pictures (yes, real film!) so they brought in a classic film photo booth for their wedding. Each set is processed with chemicals just like in the dark room and takes about 4 minutes to produce. So cool!
The table numbers are all from a vintage marquee sign!
Congratulations Julia and Jackson!
