Yosemite National Park is truly one of the most stunning places on this entire planet. Mike and I have such special memories there, including our own wedding day-after session. I was so thrilled and flattered when fellow wedding photographer Jessica Lynn reached out to see if I could photograph her and her boyfriend, Matt, at the park! YES PLEASE! We planned to do a fun session at a few different locations and even got my BFF Shindig Chic on board for a bouquet. Little did Jessica (or I) know that Matt was actually going to propose! He caught everyone by surprise and their session turned into an engagement shoot! Scroll down to see more of this perfect afternoon!

We started in Yosemite Valley while the sun was still pretty high – and just as we were getting ready to drive towards our next location, Matt got down on one knee and popped the question! We were all elated and running on pure bliss for the rest of the day!

The hike out to Taft Point is fairly simple by the end of summer (after all the snow has finally melted – unlike in June when I first gave it a shot!). The walk provides some beautiful forest backdrops!

On top of the world! We were hardly the only people taking photos here, but we found our own little spot and it was like we were alone – minus the bluetooth speaker playing tunes a few yards away, ha!

I love that Jessica and Matt were down to climb some rocks! They didn’t let the heights stop them from exploring!

This last shot is such a classic for Taft Point, but it’s a must-have!
