Michelle & Jordan’s Wedding at Sacred Mountain Ranch

Michelle and Jordan’s wedding was something truly special. These two had originally planned on having a backyard pizza party until they stumbled across Details, Darling‘s Project Darling contest. The ladies of Details, Darling put together a fully funded wedding where all vendors donated their time and services to give one lucky couple the wedding of their dreams when they couldn’t otherwise afford one – and Michelle and Jordan were the big winners!

Sacred Mountain Ranch in Julian, CA provided a stunning backdrop to Details’ vision for an emerald and gold enchanted woodsy design. The wedding was on the longest day of the year, and it also proved to be one of the hottest, nearing 100 degrees! That didn’t stop anyone from having the time of their lives!

I absolutely loved Michelle’s romantic boho updo!

Tiny Victories created the florals on behalf of Layered Vintage! Isn’t that artichoke such a fun touch?! Michelle mentioned that she loved them and was so surprised to see one in her bouquet!

First looks are forever my favorite. What a special, intimate moment!

I love how the florals pop against the black bridesmaid outfits!

Photographer’s note – we had to shoot all the wedding party portraits at the sun’s mid-day height! Not easy lighting, but thankfully Sacred Mountain had a patch of shade that made this doable!

We finished coverage of their day when the sun was finally setting and that golden hour magic light was just perfect!

I finally got to try my hand with some smoke bombs! Such fun!

CONGRATULATIONS Michelle and Jordan!!

Fun fact – Their wedding was on a Thursday, and crazily enough, it was the first day of a wedding triple header and California road trip for me! That night I drove west to San Diego for a wedding on Friday and then went up to San Luis Obispo for Saturday! This joyful day was the perfect way to kick off such an adventure.
